Amc’s are the pimps of the appraisal business , they are bloodsucking parasites who will bow to their clients to get everything and anything done , unfortunate that appraisers are there lackeys.

Comingled fees between the amc and the appraiser remain as the most unregulated aspect of this industry. I’ve got a brand new business idea; mortgage broker management. This is going to be huge and we’re going to make a lot of money. We’ll make it a law that brokers cannot contact customers directly unless supervised through a third party mediator at an undisclosed portion of the brokers fee. We’ll call around and find the brokers willing to work for the fewest points, and reduced fees will not result in reduced consumer charges. That’s the business model which brokers accept for amc’s and appraisers, so it only makes sense to apply the same operational principals up the ladder as well. MBMA’s. Yes, don’t for one second think that the AMC’s are here to benefit the appraiser in any way, as THEY ARE OUR COMPITITION AND ARE ALWAYS PERSUING OUR DIRECT CLIENTS WHO ARE NOT USEING THEIR SERVICES.

Just lost PRMG to amc’s. I’m not splitting my hard earned fee with a telecom based management company who’s primary function is to drive my fee down to increase their own unearned profit points. I could always underbid, and thereby essentially bribe the amc to make me the preferred appraiser. What a joke.
