Yeah …. Lets just stop taking orders from an industry that is controlling 95% or more of the work. The only way your idea works is if there were some way of unifying the 90,000 + appraisers in this country. Quite honestly, if you do that the only thing that will be affected is your bank account. My house payment has to be paid and my 4 kids have to eat and I’m not alone in my feelings over this issue. We need change but we have to be realistic too. ISGN grossed over $30 million in 2010. Do you really think that they are going to be affected by our little “sit-in”? Unfortunately the only answer is to become political and take the legal route with class action lawsuits that hits them in their bottom line where it will affect them! And by the way, I’m not a “bottom-feeder” and I do create a quality report unlike what many appraiser whiners that I have read in the forums would have you believe about those of us who do work for the AMC’s. Think about it. If 95% of the work is going thru the AMC’s then MOST of us ARE doing work for these companies. Otherwise they would not be making $30 million dollars annually!! Let’s start being realistic about what its going to take and stop with the “Pie in the sky” ideas and the whining and the appraiser bashing that goes on. It doesn’t change anything and only makes for crappy Internet fodder !

Signed as well but sadly I don’t think a petition is the way to go. If all appraisers stopped accepting low fees, we would not be in this mess.
