It is too expensive to have in house appraisers. We can not do “enough” work in 40 hrs for them…..The sad part is the lawyers get 50 million dollars in these suits, That money could have paid appraisers !!! And we would have happy appraisers, happy appraisers are better appraisers !!! These people are so stupid, money hungry a-holes. I know this from personal experience. Got a huge award myself. The real problem is when these companies get notified that they got caught, they cut the appraisers pay and then 2-3 years later, pay them back with their own money !!!  Only the layers win…..as usual !!!

If an independent contractor is performing the same duties as a staff appraiser, courts have ruled they are employees. When will those law suits start?
