Quality is reduced. An Appraiser does not have to look at reports to know quality has dropped, because the incentive has been reduced. Also, it is logic that good Appraisers will save their dignity, men will save their pride, women will guard their heart and, so on. A lack of quality in anything is worth less and not highly valued/demanded and, if the same lack in quality keeps flowing in, then gee, common sense should tell you not only consumers are being hurt EVERYONE involved is being hurt, Market Value is being hurt and, everyone not involved will eventually get hurt. Lessons from the prior collapse has not been learned. Well greed has not been subdued enough to make an impact towards a healthier Market Value.

All Appraisers have to this point is a seat at the table. And, guess what? Time is more valuable than ramming the head against the wall.

I suggest when the crisis happens, that empty chair better be filled with a Reconciliation of years and years of hard work of studying and analyzing.
