What just happened? More changes? By the year 2025 rolls around, Skynet in a partnership with corelogic will utilize automated valuation technology to value every home standing. If your home does not contain a sufficient quantity of ‘green’ cellulose material, you’ll be stamped obsolete and shipped off to a valuation development reform camp. There you can learn the benefits of redirecting what is otherwise landfill material, directly into your attic and walls. You must recognize this as a green benefit or you will be deemed incompetent. Do not ask about stand alone solar, you must be tied into the grid for solar to be creditable.

This is outstanding news! The ASA (in California and elsewhere) has repeatedly demonstrated willingness and ability to work with others in the furtherance of our profession; or to oppose legislation (AB 624 & SB 70) that damages it.

The American Guild of Appraisers looks forward to working with ASA and it’s new NAIFA members. Congratulations to both for taking such a positive step.

I predict that by the year 2525 all 1,295 appraisal organizations and coalitions will ban together to work towards accomplishing something. Meanwhile; by the year 2025 AVMs take it’s first big step in capturing the industry.

This is overall good news. Let’s just see if they actually do anything to help the residential appraisers. Help get appraisers paid, off black lists, fight AMCS and help make changes. I’m not a member however I am of another organization.
